Default going from 1.6 to 1.5 rr question

I am considering going from 1.6 to 1.5 rr to help get some more vacuum an my motor, it pulls about 12-14 in hg now with a cc306 but when i had the stock rockers on there it pulled around 15-16 in hg. so my question is how much of a power loss could i see from doing this and is this even going to help my vacuum issue that much?

LE told me 8-10 rwhp going from 1.5's to 1.6's with the cc306. However i never put that to the test cause i still have 1.5's so i'm just going off what he said. Hope that helps.

Dont do it! Stick with 1.6rr if you have them already, that would be the dumbest thing you can do. You want to be faster not slower. Well atleast I do.

I run the same cam in my 93 ta. and im pulling the same. around 13hg's. I ran my brake booster hose straight into the intake, If I remember right, it's been about 3 yrs. ago, but that fixed my no brakes issue. now the car stops fine. I can get a pic. of how I did it if you like, and can shoot it to you tomorrow. "my son has the car at schoool now". Im running the crane gold 1.6rr's, and these guys are right, don't go back down.

A vacuum reserve tank is a more desirable alternative, IMO.

here are some pics I dug up, but the hose runs straight into the intake, I can't remember what I changed, or took out, but I believe that is what I did.hope this helps....

Hopefully this will help. it's the bigger hose that's plugged right into the intake.
I know, dont' laugh at my cai intake hose, It's all I had at home to hook it up, Im heading to home depot when I get some time and I'll get some new 3" hose.Plus the car is my garage queen.Since it's a really rare color.Oh yeah, the goat might have something to do with it...lol

The brakes are a little weak, and I had to trun the stock rockers for a week and I noticed better low rpm drivability and less surging, but I probably need to have my tune looked at
