Default Motor is out! well almost... PICS

Hey guys so I have the motor on jacks and the body is coming up and off! Almost out! Just a few kinks But here's where I am... Also I just realized my block has been painted black?! So when I take the old cam out I plan on measuring it to make sure its not after market already!

The blocks come from the factory black. Or do you mean repainted black?

I can show you a pick of an original cam if you want. It is awesome. A VERY well machined piece.

You probably should let the pressure out first and don't worry about the ozone cause in 93 they switched over to the new stuff!

What's the big deal about that freeze plug?

They are installed after the engine block is painted. I don't see your concern...

Do they use a little glue on'em? I think he is worried that it might not be original? Looks good to me, it even has the factory oil filler and cap.......

Do you have a dolley to wheel the transmission out? You're going to have a hell of a time pulling it out with just that teeny jack!

Maybe I missed the reason for pulling the motor in the first place was it just for cam, rockers, springs? If so that seems like alot of work just for that. Just wondering atleast you will have the experience and know how now.

The original reason for pulling the motor was the oil pump failed... so am now doing a cam swap, and possibly port the heads, anyone got any other ideas on some quick horsepower while the motor is out?!?!?!

I would also consider painting the engine bay and doing the iwire mod If emissions isnt too big of a deal near
you get rid of all that emissions crap , It will clean up the bay a crap ton !
