Default Help me choose Have To change Exhaust for 355 w/ 200cc AI H/C pkg

well i had my LPP LT headers off-road Y,no cat, and a moroso spiral with a dump before the rear pass tire...... My registration expired in CT while i was deployed, now i have to register my car and go through emissions before i do so. Its at the shop getting worked on and they gave me the run down of how illegal my exhaust was, so they are installing 2 high flow cats and i have to choose a cat back system. Now they want me to install a flowmaster...but i dont care for them. They said the SLP will be way too loud in decibals, and the cops will be all over me like flys on crap. I hear good things about Hooker and Magnaflow, but with a dual high flow cat set-up i dont want my car quiet. Any suggestions would be great. Im saying under 600 would be about my price range too.

Sounds like you need to take your car to a different shop... I like my magnaflow set up.Sounds good and is decently priced for the quality.

Sounds like the cops in your area need to start spending time on real crimes. Granted it depends upon where you live, but here in phoenix I have a few friends with the SLP loudmouth and they never get harrassed. Unless you are running a cut out, it's more of a function of the cops paying attention to people that are driving aggressively. But law enforcement varies from state to state so you never know. Just voted above.

" I don't want a large Farva. I want a goddamn liter o' cola! .... It's for a cop" lol had to! Good luck

My vote would be for the Hooker or Magnaflow. I've had both and like both. I've also had Borla and true duals dumped at the axle so I'm not very biased.

Stay away from the Flowmaster, it will choke the hell out of that motor. I've ran the Magnaflow and it sounds really good and clean but on the quiet side until you lay into it. I vote for that, Hooker or the LM2. The LM2 should sound good and not be too obnoxious considering you have cats. If you want stainless then LM2 or Magnaflow will be your best bet. Listen to some clips on youtube and see what you like best.

i have hooker,im very happy with it. Not too loud at idle and when you go WOT it really opens up. If i was in your shoes i would want to go true duals tho. you didnt listed that.

i am so glad i dont live in CT. My setup is practically in-your-face illegal and i dont ever get bothered in michigan.

I would weld up whatever used crap i could find on craiglist for cheap, and just swap it back out for the duals. I wouldnt expect cops to hassle a soldier for an exhaust violation.

ive owned hooker and magnaflow. i think hooker sounds better and the tips of the hooker system look right at home on a bird. the straight magnaflow tips look better on camaros. so my vote is hooker.

I say throw the stock back on with a factory style cat. Then take it all off and put you **** back on lol. I have lt's throught a 3" ory and a dumped spiral flow and loooove it! I'll be doing an x pipe and another spiral flow very soon.

But to help the vote i say magnaflow by far. 400 bucks, sounds sick, and flows very well.
