Thanks alot guys! Its been a very slow process, but all things in due time. My priorities are set with this not being at the very top. In another week ill order the carrier and hopefully another week after that ill order my axles. inbetween that time ill be doing all the final welding to it. I just want this week to be over already so i can work on it more!...

ok so if I use an 8.8 pumpkin, throw a 31-spline carried and 4.10's in it, use moser 31-spline axles with GM ends , cut my 10-bolt tubes off my LT1 and weld them to my 8.8 pumpkin.......What will I need to use LS1 rear disc brakes?

I am buying a complete LS1 brake setup, front and back. Everything for the rears include calipers, caliper brackets, backing plates with e-brake assemblies, e-brake cables, rotors, and all hardware.

What else will I need to make the LS1 rear brakes work on the 8.8 rear with the LT1 axle tubes??

Why do you want to use the larger LS1 brakes, are you autocrossing the car? A lot of the LS1 guys go to LT1 brakes so they can fit a 15" wheel for drag racing. Bob

Apperance. I like how the LS1 brakes fill the open space inside the rim and I like the bigger caliper. My car isnt strictly race its show as well. I am going to powdercoat the caliper and have cross drilled and slotted rotors, but its almost all for looks.

Nah, i dont need THAT nice of brakes when I am getting an entire rear brake setup for 150 shipped lol.

So another question...will the stock Driveshaft work with this setup on a t56 tranny or do I need a longer/shorter driveshaft, or some way fo getting it to fit or what??

Im sure alot of you are dissapointed with this build taking as long as it is. And i can assure you. I am pissed off too... Today tho i got alittle something to keep me motivated.

Its a Ford racing Torsen diff I Can not wait to see how it runs! Ive got alot of little things out of the way this past week. Giving me alot more time to finally work on my damned housing again!....

I Cant recall what i said on my last update. But i received my ford torsen Diff about a week or so ago.

Its an Awesome piece! worth the near $600 i paid for it. Just to look at it! 31 spline, with 4.10 gears should be a big step up from my stock 3.42's...

I went with moser 31 spline, stock length axles. I was going to go with strange but unfortunately for me. They cant make custom length c-clip axles. I would of needed to go with a c-clip eliminator setup, and if i did that it wouldnt work with stock brakes.

Ive been working on a really nice torque arm setup. It will require No welding to the center pumpkin!

That bracket thats circled is 1/2" thick and cast right into the pumpkin. Im going to use that as a mount, for my torque arm mount. Picture ill be using that to create a box. With the top and bottom going over and under the housing to connect to the drivers side. From that im going to weld a bar from the side of the torque arm mount, to the axle tube. Its pretty hard for me to verbalize the setup. My heads congested beyond belief and im exhausted. Ive been steadily working on it for the past week. So expect a better update soon.

Im sorry for being so behind on this thread. I know i promised this to be done sooner but ive been to busy with everything. Ive had other priorities with life, and with the car.

I understand priorities. I went with a 12 bolt, but I am very curious to see this completed. Great work so far!
