torque converter trouble

torque converter trouble Ok so about a year ago my trans was rebuilt and a rebuilt converter put in also. Now about a month ago it starts leaking fluid everywhere from behind the converter, pull it out and find a crack in the weld.
Now its out of warranty.
My question is im looking at the Edge stall 2400-2600 there mild one. will This hurt my trans using this over a stock stall?

Stock is ~1600-1800 rpm. Most run a 3200-3400 on a mild motor. I run a 4000 on a highly modded motor.
Since you have to purchase one anyway, you might as well get one that suits your needs. Many also come with a free restall if you change your mind later.

Much more enjoyable with a higher stall converter...I am running a small cam with boltons and have a 3400 stall edge converter. Make sure you get a transmission cooler when you put a stall in. Higher stall = more slippage in torque converter = more heat in transmission.

edge is just as good as any other converter out there ,just a little cheaper . they have exc cust service, great product , great warr and so on .i love how so many are quick to throw out the big names and say **** other people
Not bashing Edge. Street Edge series are acceptable quality. I ran one for a while. There IS a reason for the price difference from the tougher converters though. The TCC clutch will give up the ghost sooner behind high torque in a Street Edge because of the lack of a billet front cover, which provides the flat clutch surface.
