Hey guys, I had a few questions. I just bought a used cam, the specs are very similar to the GM847, 236/242 .557/.576 112 +4. I will be running a ported topend. So my questions are, what size stall would be best for me and what injectors would i need to upgrade to? I don't want a stall used to drag, just something i can have fun with and still drive fairly well.

30lb injectors at the least. and a 3600 stall should be fun

I ran that same cam for awhile and had good results. Went mid 12s with a mail-order tune. I used a 3600 stall and cut 1.60s on 3.42s.

i thought you were looking at a cc503 sized cam? lol I'd say a 3600 stall would be a good choice. I have a set of 42# injectors for sale I could cut you a deal on, a little overkill but you'd have growing room.

You can even up the stall to maybe a Yank ss4000. Should match that cam yet tight enough to have fun in the street.

I was but that cam was 140 shipped with 4k on it. Thanks for the offer on the injectors, I will think about it

What gears are in the car? What gears will you be planning on running?

If it were me I'd run a minimum of a 3600 stall and 3.73's. Something like a Yank SS3600 would be ideal considering how tight they are which will make street driving enjoyable.

I have a 3600 stall with the GM847 and love it.
