Oil level sensor thread size?

I need to plug the hole for the oil level sensor. I went to the hardware store and bought a 1/2 plug but the sensor hole threads seem to be a real fine thread. any one know what size plug I need to use? I not to sure that it is even a 1/2 inch. I'm using a moroso pan and my long tubes are laying on the face where the wire conector goes.

I just left the sensor in there. No harm done.

I agree on that one wh buy a plug when you already have one.

The header tube is laying on it. It will melt that plastic inside.

The only other thing I can think of is going to napa they might be able to match it up with something.

found it. GM makes one it is part number 3448834. Have no idea the cost yet but the bolt is an M20x1.5
