Default 95 B4C With upgrades? Should I buy it ?

I'm Looking at a 95 B4C With many upgrades and want some opinions on whether I should get it. I had a 94 Z28 6-speed with a comp 306 cam and other stuff and loved it....I had to sell it due to $ issues but now I can afford another one. Hes asking $4300 But will take $4000.00 What do y'all think?

1995 Z28 Chevrolet Camaro B4C (police package) with oversized sway bars and computer without speed limiter, chevy LT1 350, T56 manual 6spd trans, tan leather, power everything, cold A/C, body has 175,XXX miles on it but the drivetrain has less than 80k on it. Motor was replaced with a low mileage GM LT-1 and transmission. Brand new GM opti-spark was installed less than 3,000 miles ago. Car is super clean, runs incredible, can be a daily driver, it still gets about 22+mpg. Oil changed only with Mobil 1 full synthetic. No issues or leaks.

-All new top end gaskets were installed about 4 months ago
-JBA ceramic coated shorty headers with ceramic coated Y-pipe
-Borla stainless steel cat back exhaust
-cat gutted
-C4 Corvette throttle body w/airfoil
-ported mass air
-preheating system for throttle body bypassed
-Moroso cold air kit
-Fans on SLP switch to keep it cooler
-160 degree thermostat
-SLP billet flywheel
-Centerforce dual friction clutch
-Short throw shifter (still have factory Hurst shifter, too)
-Edlebrock strut tower brace
-weld in subframe connectors
-Lowered with bilstein shocks all the way around
-SS rear wing
-ZR-1 Corvette 17x9 wheels with 275/40 tires
-Aeromotive adjustable fuel pressure regulator
-brand new Walbro 255 high volume fuel pump
-98-02 LS-1 car brakes with larger calipers and rotors with spindles
Clean title in hand
Pictures were taken when it was wet and dirty dont let them fool you, its a clean car
Flaws
Does not have current tags
Nose is peeling a little bit
Driver seat has some cracks/tears

That's not bad at all for $4000, as log as it's mechanically sound, I'd jump on it if I were you.

I checked online and they only made around 310 B4C's only 9 with a 6-speed and you could order leather too....but I will definitely check the RPO codes.

Thanks for the help!!

I'm kinda diggin' the tan interior with the black color. Looks really good and I'd go for it as 4K is a good price if it's sound.

You mentioned that he still has the factory Hurst Shifter. On my '96 6-speed it just has a regular shifter, no short throw, unless it was an option, which I'm unsure of.

I don't mean to sound rude, but for that price i would get a LS1 fbody. Ive seen low mileage LS1 6 speeds going for around $4,000 in my area.

It does have the B4C RPO Code and I checked they made 12 in 95 That had a 6-speed. Looks like I may get the car.

I was reading up on B4C's and they come from the factory with a Hurst shifter, Crazy but true!

Thanks

Here is a link to the actual brochure Chevrolet gave out to police stations in 1995. It shows the M6 Option and Tan leather option.

wow, looks to be a rare car! I really like the Tan leather with black exterior...looks very nice, and that combo is not often something you see on these cars...

and I'm going to argue for $4,000 you cannot usually buy a NICE LS1 fbody...it'd probably be ragged to hell and have 200,000+ miles on it.

also, I don't believe the Corvettes had a different throttle body...so a "c4 vette throttle body" is the same thing as an fbody TB...it just has an airfoil.

I have looked at a few 98-02 LS1 cars but they are alway really rough and plus I only want a 6-speed and leather so around here it has been really hard to find a LS1 in decent shape with a 6-speed and leather for $4000 or less heck it's hard to find a LT1 with a 6-speed and leather in decent shape around here for under $4000.00 , I really like the 93-97 Body better too, more aggressive IMO plus the 98-02 SS Spoiler is a really nice addition on this car. This car looks good, straight body I really like the lowering kit and headers, Borla plus the strut tower brace and Clutch. I really want to build a Motor for it....possibly an LS1 but my last car had a Cammed LT1 and it had some ***** so I may just see how this motor holds up and maybe build it. Overall the car is a Nice starting canvas it will only be a project car not a DD so I'm really liking it. Plus the fact that there were only 9-12 B4C's in 95 with a 6-speed is kinda cool, gives the car a unique feel even though most people say the B4C isn't a big deal. I think it's kinda rad!

HaHa I was thinking the same thing about the throttle body! lol I guess it makes it sound better! Your right the best LS1 I found for under $4000 needed a clutch plus synchros and the interior was horrible and half of the clearcoat was coming off plus it had 179,000 on the original motor and tranny plus it was bone stock.! So yeah LT1 is just fine with me!
