Headlight Mod ok so ive seen on here someone has done a headlight mod were they can chenge the bulbs without having to change the whole assemebly??..got any pics of them or any info will help thanks.. p.s i need to do it because i keep blowing out my right head light some how...
First I suggest that you figure out why you keep burning through headlights. Second there are a couple ways depending on what you want. If you want HID's then there is a kit and you can either buy new lenses or use your factory ones. Basically you take the whole headlight assembly and carefully with a set of pliers twist back and forth the bulb socket on the rear of the headlamp. The only crappy thing about this method is having to silicone or glue it back on. I don't remember who sells the new headlamp assembly where you can change bulbs. Maybe google? Or someone here might know. Don't know if I helped or not but I tried.
I personally did the HID's and I love them and have zero complaints. But since you keep burning headlight up, you might just burn up the HID bulbs also.

i have the silverstar bulbs in my stock housings and they are MUCH better than stock, but i still don't think the $80 is worth them. i'll be going to speed inc.'s HID kit next time around

You people are all overcomplicating this. This is the easiest thing you could do to these cars.
The same bulbs that fit LS1 Camaros will slip in just fine and can be RTV'd in.
Just take a blowtorch to get the old bulb out and its all cherry.
