Default 3:23 to 3:73

Whats up guys? I am looking into buying a set of Richmond 3:73 gears for my car. I currently have full intake and exhaust along with a 3200 stall. Right now my car has 3:23's. I also run a 125 shot and my question is with the spray will I be goin through the gears too quick? Is this a worthwhile mod? I know this isn't technically the right section but I wanted advice from people who have done this with their LT1's. Thanks.

6200 rpms in 3rd (WOT) with a 26" tall tire (275/50r-15) = 128

No, I do not think you will be going through the gears to fast.

I DD mine lol. I think how much they howl depends on who installs them. Maybe I am use to mine, but I am also daily driving a 231/329 with TD's.

I've had my richmond 3:73's for a while now, dont go by what people say that they have heard and have not experienced. That's the worst think you do because folks like that dont know there *** from a whole in the ground and with #'s like 13.679 at 102.77MPH in 1/4 is garbage because I'm running in the 11's and mine are doing just fine! You'll do fine with them trsut me. I had mine installed by a shop that strictly did rearends all though because that is one thing I haven't tampered with even though I installed my complete forged 355 LT1 and tranny.
