Default What spark plug gap should I run?

Currently making nearly 400RWHP NA with 11.2 CR. Never gonna see boost or juice.

I am using NGK TR6 spark plugs that are currently gapped at .045".

Is this the ideal plug gap I should run or should I change to .035" or something else?

I'd leave 'em at .045

Just curious but why are you using the TR6 plugs instead of the TR55 if you are not throwing the bottle at it?

I agree. Have used NGK TR6's for nitrous but really need a not projected plug with a heat range 7 or colder. I use the Autolite AR474's. On the TR6's leave the gap at .45-.50 for an N/A motor

When i Had my 355 with the same 11.2 CR I had TR6's gapped at .040 and the car ran absolutly mint ran 11.40 @ 121 in a 3450lb car. Of course cam differences will change your dynamic compression so you may have to play with it a bit but it should be around the .040 mark.

I ran my 383 with tr6's gapped at .45(na), tr7 should gap at .38. If your running the bottle, bref7 at .32.

Good post! I was all screwed up for a minute lol. I ran tr55's in my 383 gapped at .45, tr6's should be around .38 like stated above, 7's usually around .32.

Im at 13.9:1 CR and I found that the best plug for me was a BR7EF from NGK.....its a 7 on the heat range and im gapped around .032. Seems warmer on the range than that chart says. Shows that every application is different due to dynamic CR's.

color dnt matter.... read the fuel ring.

timing, I have ran the strap all the way down...it always makes the most HP closer to the center of the bend in everything ive ever done
