the insecurity on this thread is unreal , the guy who gets the maddest about his car is the weakest period , street driven my ***, to the local walmart dont count , streetdriven is to the beach,to the mall .daily driver , on vacation ,good jod gizmo ignore these insecure haters who have to compensate for there short comings lol...

 

Awesome car! I was really glad to see both the threads you posted about the car. Stock elminator cars have always really interested me with their low time slips and stockish motors.

LMAO I have driven this car 66 miles to the track,made passes, took the tops out and driven it home by way of the beach in Mississippi.

I drive the car to work on nice days and its a 55 mile round trip.

Well duh, you just stripped like 5-600lbs from the car. Strip the same weight from an LS1 car.... well. nevermind I won't start that argument lol

Mad props to the teens/crew to build that though!! I'm not hatin one bit, a fast car is a fast car.

 

My friend, you need to take a look at the LS1 "stock internals" list. Not many there that will run with this car at the same weight. You might also want to check out the car that is number one on that list. Dave and I are friends. I had a little input on that one too. So, you can see, I have a pretty good handle on the whole LS1 vs LT1 deal!

(For the record. If you compare specs. on the two power plants, and everything else is even, the LS1 SHOULD always win.)

Congrats Darren, I think it's awesome that You took time, money and patience to teach the next generation if dragracers that it's not all about big money in drag racing. You also showed these guys how good our old junk LT1 works in a racecar. I applaude you for teaching our youth the basics of racing and wrenching on cars. I am also a Christian guy who would love to take a youg group of kids to the track and show them some tips, tricks and even how to drive a fast car. Once my boys get a little older (3&4 now) I will get a group together and do something similar. Now these guys will be able to work on there own cars and also make them quicker. Hell my 383 Lt1 only runs 6.90's@99mph, 10.80's@127mph and it has alot more HP and Tq, just not setup as good as this car. Although my car is not setup to run on motor but it just goes to show how quick you can go with alot of stock parts. Congrats on the awesome job and God bless you! Later Clint Schexnayder

We have talked about finding a 100,000 mile motor and throwing it in just to see what it would do. But in the end it really isn't worth the effort and expense just to set an internet record and then get called out about having a race car.
