Totally worth the effort. YOU know you did it and thats all that really matters. Life is all about setting records! Anyone who calls you out on a thing like that is just jealous, plain and simple, because they feel their vehicle is sub-par. Of course your gonna strip some weight/rotating weight off a stock internals car...how else ya gonna make it fast besides suspension, which I would imagine is what really makes this car so fast!

Awesome build. Its an inspiration to me to get the most out of the motor setup I have now before adding more power.

But setting IHRA National Records is more rewarding. When you do that you are running a weight to HP class and you actually have to tear down and prove that you are right. I know, because I have passed tear down a few times.

I think that the IHRA is at Mooresville in early April. I won't be there, but both cars will be running. Go by and visit the kids. They love showing off their junk.

You need to follow us up to the Shootout in September. It would be cool if we could have a whole group up there from the Carolinas and haul a bunch of those Opti-Spark trophies back!

Gizmo, Just wanted to say I'm very impressed with the performance of this build. I've followed it from the beginning, I think it was great to get the kids involved. You can't put a price on the the experience that they have gained.
I don't post much, but I had to chime in on this one.
I wish I could get to the shootout but we are in the landscape mulch buisness and May and June are out of the question.
Keep up the good work. Jeff
