I dont care if I have to build this bitch once a week, you are slower than most head/cam LT1 cars.

And oh, BTW I am about to go some low 10's with my little 383.....and drive it everywhere. You couldnt get into the low 10's on a 2 stage FOGGER.

You ARE coming to the shootout correct? You up for running another STREETCAR? Heads up though, I will be in race trim. No exhaust, one seat etc.

Truth is 99% of the people on this board couldnt do what Gizmo and these KIDS have done. Truly impressive.

I would LOVE to put my engine in this chassis.....my wheels are turning for SURE.

Dont listen to all these wanna be's. Lets see how fast it will go! When is "class" going back to the track?

naw man, its not impressive because he took 600 pounds out of the car

on a serious note... i'd like to hear how much that DFI is worth even on a stock motor over the stock PCM? I'm guessing at least a tenth.

As I have never actually used a factory computer it would be hard for me to say. With this motor I really doubt that you would see any loss with a factory computer, because we are shifting at 5500 rpm. What we do get is an easy to tune system that really will allow us to grow. This thing won't be running a stock cam forever!

We will be at Rockingham in two weeks.

when i went from stock 95 pcm to a dfi gen 7 setup on a motor setup that was done by 6900 rpm I gained nothing from the pcm change. I just gained room to grow.

Correct. The cam that I was running at the Shootout had stock lift, but the duration is approx. 260/270 @ .050. Piston to valve clearance becomes an issue because we have to run a stock replacement forged piston. I am building a new LT1 at the moment that will have a little less duration, because I was not happy with the results from that cam.

Three rebuilds to go low 11's... pathetic. If I go it's not going to be with my ****. It's a true street car, remember? It has no cage and is surely no match for the low 11 second Tubbed Turd that "SHOULDA woulda COULDA?????????????????????" Good luck with those promises.

Plenty enough to warrant three rebuilds after a few short years. High price to pay to be mediocre.

If mines mediocre, whats that make yours LMFAO.

AGAIN I could care less if I have to build it every week. I will ALWAYS be quicker/faster than you.

Hell I am as quick/quicker than the majority of LT1 RACECARS on this site normally aspirated.

Your no quicker than the average head/cam LT1

Hell the stock motored car Gizmo built in this thread would WAX YOUR ***. Thats funny right there.

That's right. This thread is about GIZMO's car. Not yours. Not what you think yours is going to do. Not what "SHOULDA coulda WOULDA" done with this or that. Like mdacton you don't need to make everything about you and that thrice rebuilded tubbed out pile that runs pathetically slow for what's been done. Not impressed in the slightest. Get over it, however with the time, trouble and money you've had to put into that thing I do wish you all the luck getting where it needs to be.

SS RRR, GIVE IT UP! Leave the man's thread alone. No need for a pissing match, take it to PM's.

On a good note, I may be in Rockingham, hope to see the car there.

I run 10.50's@126 with a stalled auto 383.

You run 11.99@120 with a stick shift 396.

You obviously have NO idea what it takes to run mid 10's all motor, on pumpgas with a streetdriven 3600lb car. As evidence by your 11.99(ONCE)With a bigger engine in the same weight car with similar cams.

Maybe you should break yours open maybe it will go a little faster LMAO. Maybe YOU should do some homework.

Have a nice day now.

Gizmo, sorry I let this moron clutter your your accomplishment. Looking forward to meeting you in Ky.
