Default LS7 Valve Springs w/ LT4 Hotcam?

Would this be a better setup over the stock Hotcam springs everyone seems to dislike. Putting my car back together and I have all the bolt ons for a cam and am about to order a tune so I though I might as well put this hotcam and LS7 springs I have sitting around in. Car already has hotcam springs and 1.6 roller rockers but wanted to change springs if I put hotcam back in. Also if this would be a good choice would they fit the heads without maching?

The springs will work with that cam however the Ls retainer should be an 8mm and the Lt valves are 11/32 so you need new retainers.

If it were me i would get a different set of springs with some real pressure on them like 130lbs-135lbs instead of the stockers that range from 85lbs on up to 110lbs.

Has anyone ever put LS1 valves into LT1 heads for a cheap power increase?

How do you suppose the LS1 valves will increase power?

LS1 valves are larger and lighter than LT valves correct? So if some porting was done I would assume it would be more power over stock.

Been done... Lt1s have 11/32 and Ls1 has 8mm so it will increase flow a bit the only valves that are lighter are the Ls6 valves in the 243 heads

Hmmm, got a spare set of bare heads and a book on SBC cylinder head porting. Also no job...think I need to get to work and then find me some LS6 valves and see how fast I can go for cheap
