no spark at coil
Heres a short run down I have a 97 camaro.I had a oil leak at the front timing cover which was the waterpump drive seal.I put the car all back together and it wouldnt start.I pulled the coil wire and there was no spark. So I checked all my connections grounds and fuses all look good.I scanned the car for codes and there are not any codes. What I did find was my icm wasnt getting any power. We checked my opti harness and the harness checks out good. The pcm is getting some type of signal from the opti because my fuel injectors are still working and I can smell the gas. What could cause my ICM not to recieve any power? The car ran great 5 hours before I replaced the waterpump seal no signs of any type of problems.

If the opti doesn't send the signal to the ICM it will NOT fire the coil.
If you had a leak there's a chance there's either oil in the opti or if it has been wet it's probably toast.
You need to perform this test if you want to verify the OPTI signals are actually getting to the coil..

I already did those tests I should have mentioned that earlier. the white wire on the icm has no signal coming from it. I was thinking that oil prob got into the opti and cooked it.

I checked the fuses already and they are good. Correct me if I'm wrong there's four wires to the icm two of the wires have 12v going to them the other one is a ground the last wire is the signal wire. Both of my two wires have 12v but the white wire isn't getting signal when we crank the motor. My fuel injectors still work when the opti spins if that's helps any.
Thanks

Use a schematic to trace out your wires.
