As I said, my reading suggested it depended on the application. Not just IF it worked but also where you had to point them.

My gut tells me this worked better on old inefficient chambers and by the time the LT1 was built chambers had greatly improved.

CONGRATULATIONS! I understand your original question and your plan. So my thinking is, "Go for it!".

I'm as independent minded as you are, so if you choose to index your plugs I see no reason not to.

If I had to post me resume' every time I posted something others disagree with - in an effort to try to convince others I know which end of the spark plug goes in the hole - that's all I'd be doing.

Anyway, as I'm sure you will, rely on your experience and follow your instincts; that's what I do.
