ive done a lot of research and it seems yank and vigilante are the leaders and neck and neck performance/streetability wise, but vigilante's warranty has left a few people high and dry from what I've read...I'm going with a Yank SS3600 when i do mine for sure.

seems to be like the SS3600 use to be "too much converter for a bolt on LT1" myself and a few others opted for it and it seems to be the go to converter now. I am glad, because it really is just a great piece of equipment and really works.

i daily drive my car in the summer and barely feel a difference in driveability over stock and then i go to the track and cut high 1.6x 60fts with BONE STOCK SUSPENSION AND GEARS @ a measly 273rwhp. You cant argue with that, it truly works.

Hey:

All the ones listed are very good but the best of them to me is Circle D in Houston, Texas., for a street driven car it gives an extra punch that most other don't when rolling down the road to pass, as well as gives as good a dig as the others do from a stop. They are well worth checking out. Anyone that owns one that I know of is happy they purchased a Circle D and don't hear about any complaints from them wishing they had another brand converter. Also check the auto tranny section on here it will give some good insight on what is in use around here.

I'm going to run a B&M in my truck. Hopefully their converters are OK, I got a good price on it so I went for it. I picked it up on here for $225 shipped, 3k with anti-ballooning plates. Going to be a CC503 LT1 swap in my 88 Silverado.

My roommate has a Monster Transmissions converter in his daily driver, bolt on 94, so far so good.

Actually the pricing is very comparable to Yank. I just ordered my 4C today and it was $741 shipped to my door . I'll let you guys know how it does in my bolt-on lt1
