Default Air pump queston on 94 z28
i have a code 29 and its my air pump would it be ok to just take it out and plug all the holes and every thing or will it mess an thing up or cause any other problems with the car if i take it off ?

You can take it off and cap off any ports associated with it. You'll still throw a code, but it won't affect performance.

ok but is it possible that i can get the code turned off in the pcm buy somebody tha tunes it ?

As long as you leave a good fuse in the system you won't set the check engine light. No programming needed.

this is commonly done...ripped the air pump out of mine last year and my buddy's '94 a few weeks ago...doesnt hurt performance at all.

thanks guys looks like i got somethig to look foward to doing this weekend since i just replaced the head gaskets on yesterday lol
