Have recently purshased a street twin from McLeod and they have discontinued their steel adjustable master cylinder and are in the process of testing a new design. why they would discontinue a product that has worked prior to releasing its replacement is beyond me.... but what im wondering is does anyone else out there make an adjustable master cylinder for the LT1 Fbody? Also, if they dont, while i wait on mine to be shipped from them, can i do the "drill" mod on mine to make it work for the time being? thanks for the help.

im planning on giving them a call today. just from what im being told the new unit from Mcleod could be another 2 months before it ships, then i have to pull everything back out to install the clutch and MC at that time. have a new trans and quick time bell ready to go in now, and want to do it all at once. im sure many of you understand my situation. wish i had known they discontinued the MC up front. woulda searched around before placing my order...

Glad to know it worked out. FYI, I talked to Billy at McLeod last week about an ST setup and explained that I already had a McLeod Adjustable Master that I bought direct from them last year and he said I didn't need to switch to the new design. So I'm guessing that they completely quit making the old model and don't have a production-ready new model yet.

Actually McLeod sourced their Master Cylinders from another manufactuer and the manufacturer stopped producing them. This forced McLeod to find a new supplier and/or design their own. This is why McLeod was out of them before they had their new one available.

if i were McLeod, id order them through another company that already has them in production until i could get mine tested and produced. this way i could keep my customers happy and not stall them on their projects. just me though.... im a soldier not a customer service rep......

I feel the same way. When I purchased mine from thunder racing I was under the impression they had the kit in stock. If you could post what you hear on monday that would be awesome.

im just working on getting a credit back from my kit for the difference as if i had ordered without the master and going to buy the Tick piece. i want the Mcleod clutch, but am not waiting on their master to be released. it is in R&D phase, but then you still have to wait for them submit the order to have them made, and then wait yet again for them to recieve the shipment of them and then yet again for them to ship it to you. cal me impatient, but when i spend over 1200 for a clutch kit i want it, i dont want to wait. and if it costs me a little bit more to get a master from Tick, then so be it.

ok, so i was under the impression that my Mcleod flywheel would have a removeable weight for changing from internally to externally balanced applications. does anyone have a photo of what this flywheel looks like with one on it? not so sure they didnt leave it off of mine. thanks
