Damn, this thread is like a dirty monkey cage at the zoo, **** and annoying yelling everywhere.
For the LS1 nut swingers, we are sick of hearing why LS1s are the best thing ever and that LT1s are slow and unreliable.
This is the LT1 section, so if you're gonna take things personally and write a book about why you support the guys decision and that it's a free country and that any dumbass can do and say whatever they want, you had better take it to the lounge.
But if you want to discuss the technical aspects of a swap and it's advantages or disadvantages then by all means stay, just don't make it a BS thread like it is now with all that immaturity.

There has NEVER been a problem with the LT1. It, just like motors before have to compete with newer technology. Its called progress!
I have raced many Ls1 cars and thus far mod to mod we are neck and neck so don't blame the Lt1 for putting together a mismatched combo that was your doing(not directed to anyone persay)..Some people also "THINK" they can tune well again most end up in 2nd place..There are soo many variables to consider! Now as far as being a "BETTER" motor design that speaks for itself, the Lt1 came with a small cam and traditional style heads. The Ls1 came with a bunch more cam and a head design far better flowing who couldnt benefit from"GOOD HEAD"?
Many choices in the LsX field but the LtX cannot be blatently disrespected like that!
Rick Abare,Ed Wright,Taner,Tony Shephard etc. are examples of some the faster LtX role models.

Johnny than start.. I cleary said a point and have to keep repeating myself to new members that own lt1s that get MAD" when i say oh thats good to want a ls1 but dont blow the lt1 up you still all get mad!! I said i dont prefer the lt1 over the ls1 because of my issues. You still get "MAD"!! Why?? I have to think like you all and tell OP dont get a ls1, save the lt1. I said it very clearly dont blow up a good engine even if it runs 14s. Sell it or trade it. Im a ls1 nut blah blah blah when clearly said if my engine goes I want a better foundation than a ls1?? I dont get you.. So stop for a bit...Think... Now lets get back on track... OP has not respond for a bit.. Now peeps on here tell him or us why should he keep his lt1 to make it faster than his 11.4 1/4?? Or why should he get a ls1 motor and SELL his old setup

Well I have come to the relization that the lt1 platform is junk and im done pissing into the wind with this. Im goin ls swap so what should i do to send the lt1 off. Im thinking drain the oil and put a brick on the accelerator but what else is there to send it to the dragstrip in the sky. where does one get the solution they put into the the cash for clunkers bill crap?/

Man what is going on in here...lol origional topic was to come up with a fun send off for the lt before going ls but you guys are making me feel guilty here
there is no arguing the ls superiority and what not and the lt has served well just wasnt nearly as easy as an ls would have been.
