Question Question For Anyone Who Has An A4 4l60e !!!

I've got a 94 camaro A4 4l60e with a transgo shift kit and 3200 stall and my mods are in my signature.

Does anyone else have this problem... At WOT from a stop does you car kind of make a backfiring noise or a popping noise when the car is shifting? It only happens at WOT and when it shifts from 1-2 2-3. It still shifts hard and I dont loose any power i think but i just find this to be weird. Is this normal or is there something wrong going on???
Thanks

I dunno about a popping or backfire sound but you might have a busted tranny mount. Since it only does when your hard off the line and during shifts, I would give it a check.

That's what i was thinking but i don't think it is because i just set the shift point to 6100 and rev limiter to 6800. It seems like it happens as the car is shifting at WOT

Yes. everything is working fine. This problem only happens at WOT when shifting. Also the rpms are over 6000 when it happens.

My car does the exact same thing, only a 2000-2300 stall. It bounces off the rev limiter at 6K about 3-4 times before it shifts. I know my trans mount is new because the previous owner had to change it. I also checked to be sure. I go easy on it (sometimes) and I am planning on a T-56 swap.

My only thought is how fresh is your trans fluid and filter?

What rpm does your scanner show the problem is occurring at?

Trans fluid is new just put a transgo hd2 in it hopping it would fix it. I've also just noticed this problem is intermittent..sometimes it does it but not all the time. Do you think it might be an electrical problem??

Sounds like it's time for a data log. You need to see everything that is going on. Also double check you fuel pressure. Could be several things. Could be a slow reacting shift solinoid, could be a weak coil or ignition modual, speed sensor. You have a 52mm tb did you check your tps voltage???? You may need to set up the tps.
