Oh I agree with you, but i also think the 350 has some advantages especially on lower HP cars like mine.
BTW I just bought the trans and it has a 9" TS but also bought a 6" TS and the correct output shaft for it.

Now I need a shifter, flex plate and converter. What suggestions do you all have on that??? What tooth flex plate do I need 153????? Any reviews on the B&M bandit stealth shifter???? Whats a great converter that is not 5million dollars???

I recommended a converter earlier in the thread that won't break the bank. They also have a nice 8in converter for like 700 I believe.

Do you still use ABS? If not then that would be the easiest route to get a VSS signal. You just need to compensate for the front tire size and you need to put a different gear input in whatever you're using for tuning. It's pretty spot on with my car. Otherwise, let me know how that tailshaft swap goes.

Okay then you may want to consider routing the VSS wires to the ABS plug on the front driver side wheel. Took me like 20min for a nice clean routing. Much easier than changing out the tailshaft. But it sounds like you have to anyway for the proper length.. As for the converter, give them a call sometime and tell them what you want. They are very friendly and are as honest as they get with you. Excellent customer service.

Keep in mind that not only does the th350 weigh a shitload less than a 4L60, but if you get a GOOD 8" race converter, that weighs a shitload less than a 4L-lock-up converter. You get some of the flywheel effect, the motor will rev a little quicker.

Here;s a little picture of the fitz-all kit:

http://www.teckpak.com/spgm.cfm?id=V7-35B

It s a medium tail that you need for the th350.

Oh it will get a nasty good converter!!
I would have to buy a new cross member to use that fitz-all kit. Im a 6spd car and my cross member should work just fine with some shimming. I just wasnt sure which length to reuse my current DS. I did already order a med TS but dont think I will need it now. That spacer is prob about 3" so it eqauls the same length as the 9" TS on the trans.

About to order a B&m Bandit Pro Stealth Shifter

Only crappy thing is no t-brake but I still have a 2-step

Stepping up to Modified NA or PA Mike ? It's going to be a tough field this year. The Th350 is the way to go the only thing is you will have to rebuild it sooner than the 400.

Just tuck the harness away. Zip-ties are your friend. Mine is butted up against the frame rails, out of sight. Looks like I'll have some competition in 2011

does this list of parts only apply to the m6 crowd? i have a 4l60 in my 93 and have had nothing but problems with it since the last rebuild. so i want to junk it for a 350 as well.

call ptc..they will set you up and not break the bank..i got a used hughs gm4500 off a buddy for 200$,the ptc would be around 400-500$

flex plate will depend on your converter..converters come in 10.75 an 11.50 bolt pattern.heres a dual bolt pattern one sfi approved.
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/QTI-RM-932/

shifter just get what ever one you like..pro stick, qautrer stick or cheetah..just make sure if its a reverse valve body trans you get a shifter for that.

you can build a th350 to take 650hp for around 300$ not counting core
