95Z28 a/c not working. HELP!!! I got a 95 Z28 that I just got back on the road after building a new motor and now my a/c won't work. It just blows hot air. I checked for leaks, checked for power at the a/c fuse, the HVAC fuse, and the a/c relay. Everything checks out and all wires are in perfect condition. I'm lost here. Can anyone help me?
I had this same problem after i put my longtubes on. Check in front of the a/c compressor and make sure there is nothing keeping the outer a/c pulley from spinning. I had an a/c line that had gotten wedged on the side of the pulley and it was keeping the outer pulley from moving. That was what happen to me. Dont ask me how that happen to mine i still dont know. I hope thats all it is and not anything to serious and costly.

If his compressor isn't engaging he either has no freon (ie has a leak), has a problem with the wiring related to the compressor, or the compressor itself is bad.

Everything is plugged in like it should be. I got power to the fuses and relay. There are no leaks and the freon or whatever it is now is full. Could this be a problem in my switch in the car? Is there an easy way to test for this? When I turn the a/c on I don't hear the relay.
