Default Bleeding Clutch, power bleeder?

I have some air in the hydraulic system, the slave is leaking - so I'm assuming that's the issue. Anyway, since there is no bleeder valve on the slave, how do I go about bleeding it? Do I pick up one of those power bleeders at autozone and hook that up to the reservoir?

If you purchase the above set up from ws6 store it is pre-bled since there is no true way to properly bleed the system, many have tried some work ok but still not the way it should.

interesting.

i'd also like to mention that i'm selling the car, so.. spending 160$ on a master/slave is not a favorable option if i can just bleed it out somehow

How do you figure? If you replace the master cylinder, your supposed to bench bleed the master, and on top of the slave is a bleeder valve.

Did you try pumping the slave like a couple people suggested earlier in this thread?
That's the only way to get air out of the slave and the line.

so, hook up mityvac, create vacuum, remove slave from tranny, pump slave plunger?

doesnt pressing the clutch while i hook up the vacuum do the same thing?

also - my symptoms are... clutch loses pressure as it is held down. it is firm for the first few seconds, then loses pressure and clutch engages.

The pressure lose is from the fluid leaking out of the slave, don't bother bleeding it until you replace the slave.

Yep^^You need a new slave. The mighty vac was a waste of money IMO. Ive never had good luck using them.

Why do you continue to insist on using the Mighty Vac when numerous people said not to? Pump the **** out of it as that is what we all do since there is no bleed valve for the LT1 setup. It works - trust me as I've replaced mine twice and never had an issue. It does suck that it takes long and beats the hell out of your hand, but it is the tried and true method for our cars.

100% correct!!^^ Or just buy the entire slave and master and call it a day. Its not that expensive and you already prob wasted 20-30 on the MV

I was about to post the same thing. I thought I was the only one that couldn't find a bleeder valve in the system. Why in the hell would they that?

My friends clutch fluid needs to be changed and there no way he is going to by a new slave to do that.
