Default Mufflex Exhaust Tubing

Does anyone know if mufflex will sell just the 4" tubing without the muffler?

if you wanna do a 4" catback... order a 4" exhaust tube kit for a duramax truck. That's why my exhaust guy does, and he's done several tight fitting 4" setups on fbodies with non-relocated PHBs. My car is slammed, he said mine was a real bitch and tooks some tweaking of the bends over the axle, but it fits like a glove

No Mufflex won't. Denny hates separating kits and will only do it after proof of previous purchase and proof of catastrophic damage to existing pipe.

I've tried (I own a mufflex) and that was my results.

I wish I would have thought about that, but no one in my area would do it. When i first brought them my exhaust the told me they couldn't do it because it wouldn't fit. Then they tried to convince me that I had gotten ripped off and been sold an exhaust for a diesel truck (keep in mind it was already bent for the camaro). To this day they still can't believe that it is on there.

dang..i wish they would sell the individual pieces. I'm pretty sure no exhaust shop in SC is gonna bend 4" pipe. Most are all old school rednecks who still believe you need backpressure for one to run right.

haha, now that I see you are from SC too I can agree with you on that. I don't know how much the pipe would set you back alone, but there is a kit that I know of that is just pipe prebent a camaro. I forget who sells it, but just go on google and look up "Sinister Camaro 4" exhaust." it should come right up. I think it is kinda pricey though, somewhere in the 300-400 range.

yea hawks is about 30 mins. from my house. that's where i got the idea to find some 4" tubing and get it bent because $400 for that is a little ridiculous.

Wow I've been looking for a 4" over axle pipe. I've got to go 4" on my LS408. Only thing is I need to find a muffler for it...

The magnaflow muffler that I have is pretty good. Its a race muffler so it doesn't have much as far as restriction, but I love the way it sounds. Its also stainless so it looks pretty good under the car.

i have a hooker maxflo on my car, it is a lot less raspy than the magnaflow 4" mufflers I've heard, and quieter. It's still straight through preforated, but it's a bigger muffler.

That sinister kit is expensive. But not too far off from a Mufflex kit with a single in/out muffler.

I've been looking to eliminate my cutout since I never use it and this might be my only option.

yea it's a little outrageous for 4" straight pipe kit. Although if you took the price of the muffler away in the mufflex kit you would probably be close to what they are asking for it.

If you get it definitely let us know how it fits and sounds!

Wick thanks for that...I hate raspy! Deep with no int drone is the best! Do you happen to have a sound clip?
