Default What are you other cam-only guys trapping?

and what cam and other mods?
a4/M6
stall
gears

Most I see are 110-115mph.

Bone stock heads guys. No valves, no clean up, no bowl work, stock.

Not particularly looking for ETs, but throw them out there if you like too.

I ran 92.8 mph in the 1/8 with a CC306 cam only about 5 years ago. Mail order tune from madz28, stock 3.42 gears and 6 speed, and bfg drag radials. Probably 100 pounds less than full weight on that pass.

Impossible since off the shelf cams don't work. Hell I only have just over 2mph on that in my h/c car.

alright fine you caught me, I spun most of 1st and 2nd gear so the mph might be slightly inflated

With my auto I trapped 110mph with a cc503 at a 3650# raceweight. Besides the cam I had full exhaust, 1.6RR's, stock converter.

Yeah m6s in the high end a4s low. I'm really looking for the out of that range guys in either direction. Either what's the excuse or what's so great in their setup.

88mph average, but I have trapped 89mph a few times in good air. cc306, bolt-ons and a PCMforless tune. 1/8th mile of course.

MPH did not change from 350ci to 355ci.

most serious drag racers... the ones with the ability to extract exceptional results from average parts... don't mess around with cam only LT1s. Maybe 10-15 years ago, but not anymore.

Post in the wrong thread? This has nothing to do with anything here. Clever quip though.

only custom cams can hold records though, shelf cams are much too common and everyone would run the same time with the same cookie cutter combos.

I don't give a **** about records. Stay on topic or STFU.

Since you can't read I was looking for slower than normal too. Not just the fast ones.

exactly what i trapped and 12.0's consistant. Vigilante 3400, 3.42's, MadZ28 mail order blah blah, AND a Comp XE 224 nyuk nyuk. My car gets out like a bat out of hell 1.7 shorts but then falls flat on its ***. The only way to wake these cars up is head work

i would say it's almost pointless to go cam only just because there are cams that work with factory heads and then cams that work with aftermarket or ported stock castings, then you would have to change the cam to work well with the ported heads and re tune. If i could change anything i'd do matching heads/cam combo together. Buuuuttt that's just me
