any lt1 guys running e85?

I'll be hitting the 1/8 on thursday and saturday next week, I should be done dialing this thing in on the street by the end of the week. Bumping the compression and cam size has made this motor come alive big time. I'll be trying a 100-150 dry shot if I can squeek a good 60' and 330' on motor. Still haven't gotten my cage welded in, so I don't want to run a full 1/8 if it's not a good pass.

Fuelab 41402... my flow sheet says like 170gph at 43.5psi, and I'm running 60# motrons. I need to step to 83s i think when i start spraying 200+, I don't like the idea of running the pump at 70psi. The pump has a built in controller, I run it off a 12v output from my dfi box to dial the pump back to 50% below 4000 rpm and 40% throttle. The A1000 is only good to about 750 on E85 IIRC, but any pumps bigger than that will need a controller on the pump for street driving. I don't know if the magnafuel pumps are rated for alcohol yet... but if they are that's another option.

I have a little more tame build than Wicked, 226/226 custom LE cam, 11.7 SCR, stock bottom end, with EB Ported LT1 heads. Also running Walbro pump, 60# injectors, although some 50#'s would have been the ideal size for my build, the 60#'s were cheaper, and 42#'s were too small. Haven't dynoed or got a run at the track yet. Plan on doing that in the spring, along with 58mm TB and ported intake, as with the stock TB and intake I cant get over about 97kpa at WOT.
To setup on E85 you need a wideband O2, you can start with a gas tune, but then change your injector constant initially to 70-75% of your injector size to trick the PCM into adding the necessary extra fuel, then tweak it from there. I would suggest learning to self tune your A/F as the blends change summer vs fall/spring vs winter and you will need to be able to adjust your A/F as needed. I would suggest at least a Walbro pump or more depending on how much power you plan on making.

I have a friend who run LT1 Camaro had tried use on E85 mix w/premium gas. Run rough and not good run. Stop use on E85 then got better run with using +91 octane gas.
E85 good with high compression like above +10.5-1 or more with large injectors and fuel pump. .
Good Luck on LT1 using E85..

I run E85 with 60 lb injectors on a 383 with 10 to 1 compression,no modifications to the fuel system at all but a walbro 255 in tank pump, car is running 10.80 at 123mph in the quarter mile,I love this stuff and its less than $2.00 around here.

E85 mix with premium of course won't run right if not tuned for the exact mixture of gas+E85, you are changing from gasoline to (mostly) alcohol, a completely different fuel, you can't just put it in and try it... All LT1's are
high compression like above +10.5-1
I have been getting it for about $2.68/gal lately, it has definitely gone up as the mixture has changed to the winter blend
