i would have thought the LT1 guys would have embraced the megasquirt setup by now..... for ~$500 or so you can get rid of the pesky rpm limit AND the optispark everyone hates. (diy megasquirt kit & msd dizzy) then buy a efi single plane and an elbow. its not all that much money when you consider how much it would cost to build a 450+ rwhp LT1. someone could do a plug n play setup and sell it....

I thought about doing a plug n play with the megasquirt stuff, but i'm working on getting the stock pcm to do 7500+. I have a buddy who'd megasquirt'd a few cars and trucks, not for hotrodding but just to tinker. I like the DIY style of that system.

I agree!

My last build was a 355LT1/TH350 with Megasquirt and a EDIS8 conversion.

Does it bench race to 7900 or has it actually successfully done that and still made power after the springs are all broken in??

I think a lot of folks make statements about hopes then never update the community on results and the hopes end up being taken as results, misleading the next guy.

What gets done on a racecar is different than what works on the street.

I am going to bet most of us can not afford the spintron time and upkeep on such a thing.
