Question lt1 k&n intake help

I bought a k&n intake just the tube for 50 bucks from my friend for my 93 lt1. odered a coupler 4 to 3.5 and a 3.5 diameter by 4 inch length tube from spectre since its a speed density and has no maf and the guy i bought it from did not have the adapter so i got everything for the setup except the filter. The question is which filter do i go with K&N or Spectre. Since the spectre is much cheaper and i found one the will fit the K&N im not sure if anyone has tried this lol. or is the k&n which is much more expensive and about two inches longer better? help please

I don't think it really matters. Go with whatever fits and/or is cheapest.

SPECTRE FOR THE WIN!!!!!! haha....21$ autozone special went a 10.48 @ 130 on my car lol.........spectre will be fine on your car......the amount of air you'd have to move through that motor to notice a difference will never happen with a fairly stock setup.....go wit the autozone special haha

i wanted the ws6 hood for my car but they are expensive especially the oem one. So il stick to my K&N setup with spectre filter since i already spend some money on my z06 c6 rims and tires.

Hmmm usually filter-on-TB setups suck since the stock TB location puts it smack dab in hot air, but with the filter that high and a functional cowl hood thats not too bad of an idea! Hell, I may run that instead of a lid setup at first and save a ton of cash . Ever check IAT temps with that setup?

Now...I've had my 3" cowl for over a year, why the hell haven't I thought of that?!?
