! This yr I plan to get the car done early and take some more time off work for testing JE pistons are made from 2618 alum Low silicon based
SRP's are made from 4032 alum High silicon based
Material is the factor.
JE's are stronger and more durable and can handle more heat and cylinder pressures.
SRP's are a good piston but the window for tuning errors are smaller with them. If you are off a bit on the tune, a JE will stand up longer than a SRP.
I have run both and will never go back to a SRP. But thats because of the size shot I hit. For the street car guy with a 150-200 shot they work great.
