Whats a leak down test going to show? The motor was just rebuilt last summer and has less than 5k miles on it. Do you think the ring gap is to small?

Very nice setup. That has got to be one of the cleanest solutions by far...

From what I've seen, the kit they sell for the LT1 should never get anywhere near needing that valve.
You probably don't need a regulator valve. I thought about removing mine. I can't get it to pull more than 9in/Hg. I couldn't find any leaks in the crankcase so I think that's all the pump will do (at least on my motor).

What he is saying is, even without a vacuum pump, you should not have oil pressurizing out of all those seals. Assuming you at least have the stock PCV system or breathers off the valve covers, you shouldn't have the pressure your getting. Yes a vac pump could help, but make sure your engine is up to par first. My last motor was machined poorly by a shop and I had all kinds of blow by.

Thanks I really hope that is not the case. The car has the stock PCV system still. Would running breathers help? I am also going to double check my PCV system and probably put a new PCV valve in just to see id it makes a difference .

Here are the updated pictures. You can see the bracket I added on the back of the pump for extra support.

From the dead.

I used this setup and it works perfect! I put the pump where the AC was and left the Alt in the stock location. Everything fits like factory.

All of the lines went on without any issue and I used all 12AN parts. I was able to use the stock length belt and tensioner. I will have to take a few pictures tonight and host them up. I wish I would have taken a few before I put it all together. The pump is almost invisible down there...

I didnt change the Balancer as the cost to change it and all of the blower parts really outweighed the cost if this pump fails. I have a $1000 cog drive set up I could give crap if a $300 pump fails Ill just buy another or have it fixed. I spoke to GZ and they said it should hold up find even spinning it to almost 7k rpms. If the Pump fails it is max $150 to rebuild it plush shipping.

Still have my bracket he made but have yet to order the remaining parts for it. Look forward to seeing some pics!

Hmmm, what are the chances that this vacuum pump setup can help my nagging oil leak in the back of the Moroso pan?

Was considering doing this until I realized that I have a 7.5" Fluidampr balancer. Is there a larger vacuum pump pulley bigger than 5.69"?

A larger vacuum pump pulley will not physically fit with this configuration. Ask ramair96ws6 what size his crank pulley is. He kept his larger and GZ says it will be ok. However, they do make underdrive pulleys that go between your existing hub and dampener.
