The white flange is just the paper template I made.. I am waiting for the real one to come back from being CNCd.. I am gonna have it powder coated black and use stainless fasteners on it...

Next onto the fuel system so I can turn the boost up more.

 

You need to make it shoot fire out of that..then cook hotdogs.

Hells yeah dude! Sounds good. I'm looking to go get a tune shortly, well after I figure this charging issue which we may have figured out. More testing tomorrow. I talked to Jermey Fermato today and he is looking forward to tackling my tune to make sure it's all good to go. He states that AI was a great choice!!!! Looking forward to seeing the car and actually meeting you after damn near a year of bullshiting lol!

 

Well the car is PRETTY damn close to being wrapped up...

Installed the boost gauge today... finished extending wires for the new throttle body, wrapped the truck manifolds and installed them and new plugs while they were out.. Finished the trim ring on the exhaust and fastened it in...Finished the turbo drain..

Getting VERY close to a new tune!


Damn I need to finish this car up this thread is 36 pages long...lol I guess its kinda been 3 builds wrapped into 1 thread though...

1. bullshit bottom end junkyard motor that broke the rod
2. forged NA motor (before i went crazy and bolted the turbo on)
3. Forged LS turbo motor...

Not to mention 93Z2871805, The_Merv and I goofing off and making the thread longer..lol

When's the hood coming matt? Curious to what paint scheme your going to top it off with. I see you had some ideas out there. I'm sure it will look tight with how much detail has went into her this far. I like the sig pic scheme myself!

I ordered it 4 weeks ago from VFN and they said it had a 4 week build time so they should be shipping any day now....

As for the paint scheme I am still undecided... I want something cool but not over the top... I will prob do a few photoshop renditions to see what looks the best...

I like the scheme of my car in the sig pic too only worry that since the new hood is SO tall that it may be too much black.... i will def keep ya posted though!!

I saw an LT1 formula in a crushing yard a week ago with that hood on it. If I had known this and had a bigger car (drove a compact) perhaps I would have claimed it. How much are they worth now?

 

Is it making its way over to EFI Alchemy? I bet my friends in Orange Park would think I'm nuts if I went over there though, first time in a long time I've needed nothing but would want to go back anyway? I spend too much time over then when I'm up.

It's looking good! Also that air dam is awesome you sent to me, do I do anything special to put it on the car or just the stock bolts I have now?
