Look what I found... lol I had someone photoshop this for me when I was trying to figure out how the hood would look on my car. I was trying to see what the stripe would look like with a black top. I didn't like it this way. haha

It might have looked better with the whole scoop black rather than trying to mess with the stripe on the side.

Which kirkey seats are those and brackets. I need some my factory ones are to heavy and those look sweet, I would reread your thread again but its a lot so ill ask again how heavy is the new Hood?

Matt how much did you pick up the lq9 for. I found a local lq9 bare block for 400. Or a local 5.3 complete 20k miles for $1000. Pm if you like.

Thanks guys!!!

They are the Kirkey Pro Drag seats and Madman Racing brackets.. very comfy!
The new hood is LIGHT!! it says 14lbs but I don't even think it weighs that much...

My original LQ9 was $1100 from intake to oil pan... but it broke on start...
400 for a bare block seems steep... check ebay they have shortblocks on there for good deals sometimes... 1000 for a 5.3 is steep too.... my buddy paid 300 for his local intake to oil pan... Where are you located again?

That seems steap to me too, my LQ4 was $950 (+$125 for LS2 rods/pistons), and complete 5.3s get $500 here.

I love those seats i need to get me a pair.
14lbs for a Hood is light. I can't wait for the first track pass.

I'm in California. The 5.3 with 27k miles sold right as I walked in to the jy I was beat by 5 min. So I just paid 1200 for a 5.3 with 57k miles 100% complete 6 month warranty. I had to I didn't want to miss my opportunity at a low mileage 5.3.

The 6.0 complete were 2,200. Couldn't buy that as I still need an ls1 kmember, ls6 intake and cam .and I have to ask MERV if my truck harness is usable.

Wow, prices are steep there!

If that motor is going into a 4th gen, It'll be way easier to use an F-body harness. The layout is different with a truck. That's what he told me.

It is a different lay out.. I'm sure it can be used tho.

The Fbody ones are better to use..but the truck one can be made to work, just have to move wires around.

Its going into my 95z28 I'm keeping the T56 and hopefully someone can do my conversion locally. I'm going to drive it N/A ls6 Intake and cam for a couple of months while I gather money for a Turbo setup.

Where do people find T56 conversion parts at? LT1 to LS1 I mean. I never see deals on that stuff.

You just have to watch the classifieds. I just let my LS bellhousing, input shaft, and midplate go a couple months ago since I'm going 4l80.

True. I've gotten some great parts on here. I think if I go LSx in anything, it'll have to be backed by a TH350 or TH400.

I switch back n forth between T56 & TH350, haven't had issues out of either one.

T56 Harness is easy to build..not hard to make an auto harness to a T56.
