I have a 95 lt1 camaro. While we cammed the car a few weeks ago. after the cam i ran it for about 2 weeks to work. It ran perfect but out of no were it started acting up. It would not want to start, after it did it would die after putting it in gear everytime... I tryed to scan it but would not give me any codes. the car is a OBD2 not OBD1... CAR MODS:Shorty Headers, No cats, K@N INTAKE,Cam specs are 218/228, Lift .492/.492, Stock stall, Not tuned yet. New fuel pump. Has new Spart plugs. Whole MSD IGNITION SYSTEM.. No one has no clue wants wrong with it any more we have checked almost everything... ANY IDEAS???? thanks guys

Icm possibly? Did you change the pcm in the car to a 96 or newer pcm? If you didnt, then its obd1 with a obd2 plug. If you know that already then my bad. Just wanted to point that out. Hope you figure out whats wrong with it. mike

What can you tell us other then it won't start... do you have spark, do you have fuel, does it try to start and when it does and stalls is it running smooth until you put it in gear?

I do believe that its possible your tune is way off after all the mods and that its just now getting worse.. Or i could see the opti, burnt plug wire could also be causing these problems.

It's not listed but did you change your injectors? Also have you tried disconnecting the battery and resetting the pcm's learned settings this may help just to determine if it is tune related.... I can't see how though my car ran after my 383 build granted it ran like crap but it ran. imo looking at the tune is not the right direction... just for ***** and giggles check the two injectors fuses they are in the fuse box under the hood. These motors don't like running on four cylinders! lol

ok right off the bat check all of the rockers and make sure none of them have backed off and caused valve train issues.........if that is good.......does the car run OK when its cold before it goes into closed loop?? If so its a tune thing......
does it sound like its skipping or missing??
sound like its down a cylinder???
popping at all???

check all of the rockers and valve train last week we did the rockers all over again to make sure none were tight. but found two rockers pretty tight and fixed that. but didnt changed much. It idles fine while its cold but as long as u dont put it in gear. it back fires a crap load. Its running to rich.
did you burn a plug wire???
