The SSI car has a LQ4 Block from what I read, factory Iron 6.0l, bored & Stroked.

If it had a LSX Block then I guess I read the wrong thing..but I saw LQ4, and if so then that's a fair comparison..

I love how the LS1 guys like to compare non LS1 cars to LT1 cars.

The LT1 is slower either way, but showcasing a motor that didn't even come in the car as something to brag about... isn't.

Don't get me wrong. I'm totally jealous of the ability for you guys to swap blocks so easily.

Just stop calling LS2,(3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,37s) LS1s. They aren't LS1s.

I'm going to drop a big block in my car and call out you LS1 guys about how my LT1 is so much faster.


I bought my LT1 because it looks better and it sounds better. I don't care about all out speed. If I did, I wouldn't pick an LS1 as a starting point anyway.

HOWEVER with the right amount of work i can easily reach my goals with the LT1 and i choose to do so, because i see LS1 camaro's as a dime a dozen and i want to have something different. plus i just like the look of it...

in the end if you like your car then who gives a **** about what other people say? We all have different goals with our cars and different tastes.

Lingenfelter CAI, TSP Rumbler CB, Mac Mid headers, BMR lowering springs, BMR adj PHB, BMR lca brackets, UMI SFC, ZR1 17x11s w/ 315, custom 6000k HIDs

I did the same thing. I also have a stock intake heads and block LT1 with a S60 rear 4.10s and make 15 less rwhp than you.
