No matter how much I loved my '97 SS, I disagree with your statement.
This thread will probably get locked eventually, but I'm sure there are some people out there that want to hear your reasoning. I'm just going to stick with tried and true results and experience.

Are we talking engine wise? I would have to disagree, respectively.

Pre '97 interior was nicer than LS1's IMO. I also think that LT1 SS front ends are better looking. But other than that, I personally think the LS1 is a better car all around. Everyone is entitled to their opinions though and as long as you like your car more than your old LS1, that's what matters.

LT1 engine < LS1 engine
LT1 car > LS1 car

As much as I'd love the power of the LS1, I can't get around the sound of the traditional SBC, coupled with the superior looks, I could never truly be happy with an LS1 f-body.

My vote is gen 1 swap or BBC swapped LT1 car. Formula.

But above all this... 3rd gens.

before this thread goes on I want EVERYONE to understand.. I am not a douche, I just got off of work early and wanted to entertain myself. I have no real reasoning behind my statement.. but I do for some weird reason enjoy my LT1 more than I enjoyed my LS1. It could be that I am making better money now and modding is always better with extra cash, or it could be numerous other factors...

LSXs are far more common then LTXs. Reason I love my LT1 is knowing when I get done it will be something "different" that people wont be expecting. People are putting LSXs in everything now.

Just because its better doesn't mean you have to love it.

That's because LSX's are modular motors that were designed to be put in other things. There's no denying that LSX's are far more reliable and dependable compared to LTX's. LSX's are also cheap to mod, make great power with simple mods, and consistently get 22-30 mpg on the highway. Can't really beat that in a V8.

And you're right, just because something is "better" doesn't mean everyone has to love it.

I have a low cut fade and conditioner wouldn't do much other than waste some of my time in the shower. But if you say so, you are entitled to your opinion.

I would enjoy your lt1 more than your old ls1 the way they are in ur mod list., as long as condition in the same.

Besides that, ls1 all day.

I agree. Id wager if my Camaro had an LS1 in it I still woulda been happy with it. Both can go vroom quite well, which at the end of the day is what matters.
