Personal preference. Why buy a 73 camaro when the new camaro is better technology. Welcome to America. Freedom to do what you want.

Motors arent the only thing that makes a car reliable and fast.

PS my short block was built for less than a set of aftermarket heads lol. Not to mention LT1 blocks are stronger have more head bolts and ANY GEN1 SBC heads can be modified to fit a LT1. Also GEN1 sbc's have been faster than either motor talked about in here.

Im saying a SBC has been faster and any of the parts used could be put on a LT1. How about you give it your best shot and see how fast you can go in your LS1 and Ill see how fast I can go in my LT1. I also would bet youll never be as quick/fast as my car.

Maybe maybe not.........prove it. Have you ever been to the track to verify your numbers?

Why in the world would you buy an LSx or waste money on one(...and LEAST of all a shitty LS1) if it was just about going faster?

I'd take an old *** BBC over an LS-anything.

PS: I've never seen a dyno give a "+" number .
