LT1's are better than LS1's

One thing you have all forgotten about is one un debatable fact....
THE LT1 PAVED THE WAY FOR THE LS1 lol
there is no way around it Gm tried and tried to find ways to make the Original SBC better from the factory but in the end with the LT1 it showed them what to do and what not to do. so there the LT1 is the LS1's daddy. No way around it!!! You can pick friends but family is forever. No if ands or Butts about it lol.
I would own either one. Which ever one is cheaper lol.

LMAO!!! listen L98's ROCK!!! they are GEN1 blocks that will accept roller camshafts. Convert your LT1 manifold to GEN1 heads....get the L98 block and some BRODIX heads and prepare for lift off!!!
It's inarguable the LS engines are better.
I really can't agree on the whole I run my LT1 just to be different thing. But hey if that's how ppl feel then so be it.
I RUN MY LT1 right now BECUZ IM CHEAP. AND DONT HAVE THE MONEY FOR AN LS1 SETUP. ALSO BECUZ I AM LAZY.
IF I HAD MONEY I WOULD BE TORN BETWEEN REBUILDING AND REFRESHING MY M6 BECUZ FUGG WHAT PPL SAY I FIND THE LS1 TO BE MORE COSTLY TO RUN EVEN IF I WASNT LAZY TO SET 1 UP. I WOULD NEED TO COLLECT ACCYS and ALL.
Hell LS1 Headers go for 1200 dollars.
The LT1 is cheaper to run. But granted it just does not perform to LS standards.
As for some factory freak LT1s that run hard at the track? that happens...there are also some factory freak LS1 that run harder than norm as well.
I dont own an LS1 nor have driven 1. I have bested some stock A4 and granny shifting M6 LS1 ownerz in LT1 modified engined M6. But I would bet money they were stock or fairly close to. Plus Im a good driver when im not feeling LAZY.
The bottom line is your comparing apples to oranges. You can see that in the block's design as well as the intake ports...and the manifold.
We can all say "hey I like old faithful." and that would suffice in explaining LT1 "love". Home depot still sells push type mowers and occasionally some ppl still buy them.

I love them both...I really love the look of my LT1 Trans Am over LS1 look, seems like the LT1 was just built better as far as the car exterior and interior. But, you cant out run advancements in technology of the motor. This is what the LS1 and everything after it will have! LS1 is a better motor hands down, if i had the chance to swap one in my LT1 i would jump on it.
