Can you measure from the bottom of your plate to the cowl? I'm trying to see how much it would take to get it under there without hacking the car up. Thanks

I understand it cant be done in without being modified, i was actually looking into something like this.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-t...ealth-ram.html

He was able to mill the fins down and shorten the plenum to get it under the hood of a c4, he also added about 2 inches to the front of the intake with the throttle body angled to help with intake routing. As far as i know he does modified plenums for these now, which is why i was looking for the measurements.

At that point you're negating the benefit of the stealth ram in the first place. Just use a ported stocker if hood or cowl clearance is the issue. My intake is at the machine shop and he's pretty busy, but I'll get some measurements when it comes back in

Good to know, i didnt know if the slight reduction in plenum volume would be enough to negate the benefit of the stealthram in the first place. I do have a Third gen waiting on a motor, maybe that will get an Lt1 and a stealthram or Proram

I wouldn't sacrifice the plenum volume... I'd shave the fins off, cut the runners down 1/4" inch or so, and sink the plenum down over the runners another 1/4-3/8". you'd be stuck welding the plenum to the runners, but you could do a "trumpet" style opening on the runners sheetmetal style. Not saying that's the most cost effective option either when you still have to do something with the bolt pattern/angle.

What about milling the base? I know it would reduce the runner length by a CM or so, but it would definately fit then.
IHave been looking at this for a little bit and was bout to try this myself.

Would i gain a good amount of whp/tqwp if i swapped to a hsr on a full bolt-on lt1 w/ fully ported heads and 306 cam? And will it bolt on to the lt1 minus realigning the bolt holes? Stock cubed lt1.

Imo a custom cam is needed to reap the benefits of this intake. your probably better off with a ported stocker. im sure the gains can be considerable with a proerly specd cam.

cam will look quite a bit different, i don't think it'd be worth the trouble on a stock cube/7k rpm motor

383 and large cubed motor would benefit from the swap then. Thanks for the info
