Default Holley Stealth Ram!

Break out the cutoff wheels

I also picked up a new set of stainless stepped longtubes (no ebay junk ) to replace my pacesetters which have seen better days I need to "trim" the cowl before my intake gets back from the shop. Before I run the intake I need to have my buddy raise the ports about ~.08" to match up to my heads which are ~1.26x2.28. New cam specs are a tentative 258/264 on a 109+4, lift is .680/.660. I have some new beehives, and lightened titanium retainers on the way!

Pshh, throw the plenum in the trash and just drill the plate for 4150 bolt pattern and run dual Wilson 4bbl TB's! That would be sick!

.

Can't wait to see you shoehorn that thing in without welding/cutting the runners, its gonna look insane .

::edit:: Also cant wait to see results from the modded OptiTrigger/PCM mod and that huge HR cam .

Yea runners are ~6.25" stock length, and the nitrous plate makes it roughly 7". The plenum of a stock intake is roughly 180ci, this ported plenum I have on here is probably 285ci or more. The port entrance I haven't been able to get a good measure on bc of the shape, it's at least 3.25in² CSA. If I can measure the volume I could get a decently close figure for average CSA, but I'll venture a guess around 3.00in² or so. The runner length will soak up the intake duration at far as peak hp rpm, but average power should be ridiculous from 5000-7200.

Oh yea, I paid 500 for the whole setup

Looks nice. Is there a reason you're still staying with a HR? Who provided this cam?

Can you send me some info on the headers? My JH's have seen better days too. Thanks

I'm doing the cam on this one, I just need to get ahold of John over at Comp to make sure he has a good small base circle core that will work for what I'm trying to do. HR... it's just an experiment. Everyone assumes they need to jump to a SR and I'd like to push the envelope on a beehive spring.

PM sent btw...

Why the HSR? You could have gone many different ways on this but I just want to know your reason for going to the HSR.

I wanted a longer runner (auto), I wanted a bigger runner (cubes, E85, nitrous) and I wanted plenum volume (all of the above). I wasn't set on the HSR, I just happened upon this one on RJ and decided to go for it, the price was right. The nitrous... I've been wanting a DP for a long time.

Headers are nice, clean, unrusty ones

This just my opinion but since you were changing the cam anyway I would think a converted vic intake with a 4150 TB would be a good choice with all the compression, cubes, converter and gear you are running.

I have nothing against the HSR don't get me wrong, we have it on my cousin's 92 z28 and its works badass, but you are going to be doing alot of modification to get that HSR to fit.

I would say the miniram but I haven't had any luck with the miniram. A buddy's of mine vette caught fire at the track from a leaking fuel rail.

Good luck with the HSR install and keep posting pics I'd like to see the end result.

It's a pretty definite no right now. I'm about to be in the middle of moving... I'm trying to get this motor work done in the next 2-3 weeks, then not sure how long before I'll be able to work on it because my garage will be all packed away in storage. Besides I'd be stuck in Mod PA with all the fast guys

I hear ya man. I definitely have my work cut out for me (pun ftw) on clearing the cowl. But if I was converting a single plane I'd do a 2970. There'd be 3k in that intake after the DP, pulling back the plenum walls, porting, 4500 tb, injector bungs, converting bolt pattern, etc. Even a victor efi would run 1000 bucks with porting, conversion, rails, etc. I'm cheap

Intake is at the machine shop, I've gotta add ~1/4" of weld on top of the runners (TALL raised ports on the AFRs). I'm having the middle holes redrilled, and the corner holes corrected for the lt1 bolt pattern, so only 8 bolts will be used. The thermostat housing is being shaved off, the height of the tunnel ram should stand out pretty good now with all this welding on the manifold I'm having him machine all the surfaces to match my lt4 which was leak free.
