Default how fast are u guys? le2-3 h/c 383 nitrous

I am at the point of wanting to rebuild and trying to decide which way to go. Right now I'm thinking fully forged 383 shortblock, with stock ported (Lloyd) heads and cam. With the occasional healthy shot of juice! Probably 200-250.

I am trying to gauge real world times with similar setups.

With the right converter and suspension I think 9s are easily possible.

WIth the correct combo 9s are a breeze! Especially if you know how to tune for spray!

Why don't you specifically sight examples. Reality often differs substantially from bench racing.

LS1Speed AKA Larry @ Speedincs car. No feather weight and 9.6s@140 on a 200shot. Stock ported heads, intake and a LE Custom cam and a 4l60e. Like I said its possible with the right stuff.

I ran 11.31@119 with a 1.59 60ft. This was at 3700lbs and 1900 DA. The car has a high ten pass in it the way it sits, and I could cheat and take the airconditioning off and pull the back leather seats, but thats not what I want.

I have a nitrous outlet plate kit installed and ready but I havent messed with it yet. Im sure a high nine pass is possible but it will take a lot of suspension work at this point in the game.

Good luck!

OMFG Rick Abare ran 9.90s with ported stock heads, and it was basically a street car minus the fact that it wasn't driven on the street! Oh by the way, dwayne also runs the same heads, but he only runs high 11s, but his is a tri-colored street car...

i think if my engine was in an fbody it would do mid 10's on motor and easy 9's on the bottle. but i was stupid and put it in a vette. so no decent 60ft's for me.

How is that a burn, I have an over 2 ton car with hydraulic little engine, If you understood what the b-bodies run mine is is WAY above average.
Also well documented mid 11s not high but blatant lies are your a favorite tactic of this crowd.

I was not looking to start an LE AI thing, I just think people bench race too much and site too few examples, but since you guys wanted to resort to attacks and such I will respond.
Far as gregrob's example I see that and answer with
https://ls1tech.com/forums/lt1-lt4-m...damn-time.html

Two cars run the same ET but one does it hydraulic with a 4L60E instead of a t-brake TH350 and solid roller.
I am sure the weather was not identical but still fun to compare.

dude.. seriously, WHO GIVES A ****?? they didn't ask about your car. nor any other AI headed car. NOBODY GIVES A **** ABOUT YOUR OPINION. and if you aren't trying to start an LE vs AI then why the hell are you dragging that **** into the thread, just like you do on every thread that doesn't praise your choice. your car is ugly as **** no matter how fast it is. get over yourself.

You dimwitted retard I DID NOT bring my car into this, basic reading comprehension would show you someone else did.
I also DID NOT bring AI into this or say anything negative about LE.

I simply responded to the fact 4 people had replied without any examples, then AChotrod and 355z28 responded with examples GOOD, and Wicked94z decided to stir the pot.

I know! lol 383/396 Its a few cubes difference, and goes Deep 9s on a 200shot. The OP said up to a 250shot which is more than enough to make up the difference. Either way it could crack 9s with a 383.
