Like the TFS ported heads that are comparable to 210 or so. If so whats your cam like and how streetable is it? Stock intake or not?
3 or 4 speed trans?
racecar or not?
power adder?
track times?
stock pcm, lsx pcm, bs3?
Who has done this and how fast are you?

My old LE2 heads were 216-218cc's depending on the port. Gained power everywhere with my 200cc heads.

Gentleman, CC doesn't have a whole lot to do with it.

A 210cc head with appropriate CSA and port velocity will shine on a 350, where a hogged out head will be a dog.

Very true Greg, just wondering if anyone is using a larger head that flows near or over the 300cfm range. ALso with the head being larger than AI200cc, but on a stock cube lt1

IIRC they weren't really "LE2s", but a set of heads that were already fucked up and sent to LE to try to fix.

Garbage In, Garbage Out.

If you're only spinning 7000 rpm with a 355 you don't need much more than about 280cfm which usually works out to around 195-205cc for a standard 23º port. Or you can be AFR and advertise whatever you want

Nothing about those heads needed fixing before I sent them in? Hell they didn't even break through to the rocker stud hole. Either way it's been covered in past that the heads were perfectly fine before I sent them in, I just wanted more power since they were coming off anyway due to a blown head gasket.

CC measurements of 2 ports.

Could have sworn that I read they were already ported, but like I said its been a while and my memory sucks.

Never seen LE2s or even LE3s look that hogged out. They look like someone raced a flow bench during a max cfm competition: lol:. Low end must have sucked *****.

I have a set of local shop ported LT1 heads that almost look like that, but even those have more material between ports .

Yeah they were already ported but not nearly that much... Like I said they didn't even break through into the rocker stud hole and the roof was still slanted. It was more of a cleanup job. They flowed ~240cfm going in and ~280cfm coming out IIRC. Ran pretty much identical #'s at the track afterwards so I didn't gain anything.

bigger cam and more rpm woulda made those heads work better! It's not so much that they were too big. They were just too big for your application.

My friend Shawn97Z28M6 (RIP) had the same story several years ago. He had someone local port his heads for $500. Had them for awhile and ran pretty well with him. One of his friends was selling his car and had the "top of the line" LE heads that he gave to Shawn in exchange for some work. Shawn installed them and ran the same times he did with his $500 heads....

Well I went from 12.00@113mph with locally touched up heads, blew a headgasket on n2o so sent the heads to Lloyd and with no other changes even the same stock valves the car ran 11.60@117mph so yeah LE2's, 3's worked well my LE3, 383 10.82@127mph N/A with no tuning but you have to have the car setup for it. Later

Your NA times are badass for a ported stocker car with only a 4k stall!

I had a simular experience my self on my old 93, had a set of local shop ported heads and later thought i was doing myself a favor and bought a set of name brand ported heads, ran almost identical times within hundredths of a second.
