You're throwing 16 and 36. And he got a bad PCM out of that equation. While not impossible, it seems rather improbable. IMHO I still suspect the OPTI. The car starts and runs. The PCM communicates with your scanner. I fail to get a bad PCM out of the equation. Bump... anyone?

Yea im pretty sure its not my pcm i can connect with tunerpro and i was able to scan it. Im pretty sure my opti is to blame here. Although i still dont know whats up with the pump priming twice.

I'm lost on that one. Loose ground? Bad relay? The pump actually turns on, off, on again?

It wasn't the PCM... now I'm out 400 bucks. Maybe its my opti? I'm having the car re-diagnosed at a certified GM service shop...

The GM guys said it was the distributor.. so Opti? Where can I get one for a decent price? They want to charge me $1300 for parts and service. I figure I'll just buy the part somewhere and fix it with some friends..

Someone told me you can get a new opti lifetime warranty from Chandler Motorsports for 139.95. You might check it out.

According to this thread, Chandler isn't the best brand. They have had a lot of DOA optis. Anyone else have an opinion of a better option?

it might be the fuel pump. even with the noise that the fuel pump is making i had the SAME SAME SAME identicle problem and when i put new fuel pump it stoped doin it completely. but the rest of these guys on here have valid opinions as well.

My car is what seems to be in the early stages of this. I'm pretty sure its the vent in the fuel pump, its fine on a cold start but on a hot start it cranks for around 5 secs before starting. The vent isnt holding pressure once the pump has turned off. If I let the car set for a couple minutes it will do it on a hot start, however if I turn it straight off and straight back on it fires right up. Pretty sure its the vent.

I thought it was my fuel pump but it turned out to be the opti.

I just replaced my opti and I'm still having issues. I'll have to check the wires too.

Glad to hear you figured it out. I bought a new ac delco instead of an ebay opti like last time. Hopefully this one will last for a while or at least until i have everything to swap the 6.0 in it.

Where did you get it? I did a price check at my local dealer and they wanted $717.00. The entire parts department/service area was privileged to hear a big "**** THAT!" from me.

Bought mine (AC Delco) on ebaymotors from AIT Electronics. $360.00, shipping free with 3-day ground. The packaging sucks but it worked fine.
