well they came in the mail today and initally they look really good. i pieced it together as seen below and im slightly worried of a couple things... first is the angle of the drivers side of the y, looks bent in too far, and second is the very little amount of material on the header flanges for 1, 8, 2, and 7. i sense exhaust leaks coming there. the exhaust gaskets they gave me got crushed in the mail, i was hoping to use metal crush gaskets anyway... which gaskets should i use to get it to seal correctly and is this bend too much? will i have to have it bent out? i still say for under 300 bucks shipped, you cant beat em.

I just installed those on my Camaro. I agree that the Felpro 1406's are the gaskets to use since that is what I used. The pipe will fit with the headers bolted up but it won't be fun getting them on. I had to use a rubber mallet to persuade it. The y pipe could fully seat into the headers on my car since if it did it would have hit the tranny cross member.
Hopefully you have some decent hammers and a grinder since these headers require some massaging to get to fit right. That and you should replace the motor mounts with polys which should help reduce some of the fitment issues.

the angles seem very weird when there pieced together but they go in nicely. took me about 10 mins to get the Y in place just use a little muscle and it will fit well. I used the stock GM MLS replacement gaskets. had to use a step drill bit to make holes for the end bolts. month and a half later with no leaks and havent had any bolts back out any since I first torqued them. your primary walls on the flange look just like mine dont sweat it

I have the same headers and I don't have a problem with the y-pipe or any leaks. I used the gaskets that came with the headers, but I wish I would have used something else just for security.
You should be worried about fitment. You have to watch out for the steering knuckle, drivers side k-member, and passenger side against the body. I've heard some say they didn't have a problem, but I did/do. I just dropped my motor for other reasons and I can't wait to actually drive my car without headers rattling the crap out of everything.

I've said it before, but ALL of the stainless LT1 headers on eBay are based off of the same jig as LPPs, so the SAME issues with the LPPs transcend to these as well.
The y-pipe angle does look funky, but trust me it will fit fine. It fits very snug, which is what you want.

SSAutochrome, 1ap2ap, etc., all are copies of the LPPs. Pacesetters and Kooks are easy enough to identify.

Can someone explain what the purpose of the flat bracket welded right before the y is? does it bolt to something? my car has never had cats or factory exhaust since I got it.
