Default Need new plugs and wires... TODAY

So my car has been up on jackstands for 3 days now, because I was throwing P0300 (random/multiple misfire) and could not figure anything out. Then it snowed. It took nearly 2 hours just to get the front PS plug out. I decided to just replace all my plugs and wires. After too much research, I am going with NGK-TR55 plugs, but cannot decide on wires. I considered the $110 NGK/MSD wire kit with Nasty N8 from Ls1tech.com, but I want to sell the car in a few months. And I want the plugs done TODAY. So I dont wanna order them. For just a few months, is it okay to go with Duralast ($30-AZ), or BorgWarner from Pepboys ($36)? I know most of you worship the MSD Superconnectors, but that seems like a lot for wires in a car that I am going to sell in a few months, plus the down time for shipping. Thanks.

You don't have to get MSD wires, but don't put a 30 dollar set in and expect them to be worth a ****.

IMHO: Taylor makes very good low cost wire sets. They're about $50.

I bought Accel wires off of ebay for 30 bucks a year ago and they work great and were shipped fast.

How much difference do you honestly think you are going to notice from plug wires? I almost always run whatever decent brand they have at NAPA or Advance with great results. I have never had a wire go bad unless it gets burnt on a header or something. I ran MSD on my LS1 because they were cheap...

Just don't get the cheapest stuff your local store has and you will be fine.

If anywhere around you has Taylors they're worth a shot. Arching seems to be way more common than it should be with them but there's also a lot of guys that swear by them. Otherwise, just grab any decent non bargain bin set of wires you can find and throw them on.

Get the premium Napa wires if you need something local and don't have a speed shop around. About $55 last time I checked.

If you want good wires NOW, get ac delco. I put plenty of sets on at the stealership that never came back with an issue and they have a pretty serious nation wide distribution network.

Aren't those about $200? I remember calling Advance and they were quoted at $196... oh well, need to sell my baby soon anyway

Wires ARE NOT wires.

If you need wires NOW, go down to any parts store and get a set. The premium NAPA wires are a good choice-good call from Madhatter.

Cheaper wires will fall apart when you try to pull them off the plugs. Many here have had nothing but trouble with Taylor wires. They burn easily, often arc (even when new) and the sockets pull out of them.

Moroso Blue Max wires. They fit well, are marked for each cylinder, and last...
