so i'm browsing ebay for the hell of it and i stumble across this low mileage 97 WS6 and decide to take a look at it. i found a few things that just make me want to :facepalm:

first i notice the stupid bumper sticker and then wait a minute, what the hell are those V6 taillights doing there?



then i'm looking at a pic of under the hood and something doesn't look right.....could it be? why it is! they have managed to glue the hood seal on the airbox on upside down :wtf:



now i suppose those are minor things, but still, if you're gonna ask $12k for that car, at least have the correct parts and have them installed the right way.

VIN says it's not a WS6. That and the fact that the Belt routing stickers aren't on the hood...

how can you tell they aren't on the hood? didn't they just put a second sticker on the hood and just leave the one on the radiator cover in place? my car isn't a real WS6 so i don't know about that. i just have the stickers on the radiator cover.

It appears they did. The VIN number does say it came with 235s. WS6s came with 275s. My internet info may be worthless.

Lol...yeeeeah...about that price. Since its a dealer and all they want to talk about is book values; they are over priced by $2300 by KBB standards. Aside from some minor stuff it looks to be a nice ride, but over priced for damn sure. Granted, thats just part of a dealers strategy...lol. "Sure, I talked to my manager and he said we can give you $700 for your trade in and knock $900 of the retail price. Its your lucky day pal, your getting a DEAL."

dude, i don't understand what you are doing here? you want us to compare low mileage LT1s against HIGH mileage LS1.... in an LT1 section of the forum no less.... i would take a 20k-30k LT1 over a 80K+ LS1 any day. in fact that is what i did. i bought an unmolested, low mileage LT1 car over an LS1 with much higher mileage and every day i see my car i'm happy i did it.... i don't have to put up with all the knicks, scratches, scrapes, worn upholstery, shitty mods, food/drink spills and every other damn thing that comes with buying a high mileage car... there are good ones out there but it is not always easy to find and not always cheap. LS1 isn't always better is my point.

the car the OP posted has issues and i wouldn't touch it if i were still looking.. that is for sure. i also paid $4k less for a much better car and less miles.
