Pushrod length isn't that key, your 5/16s are like spaghetti with the springs you're running. I'd upgrade to a set of 3/8 .135 walls with the appropriate guide plates if I were you, perhaps a before/after comparison for the LT1 masses

Maybe I'll pick up all those lost horsie powers...
If that were truly the case there would be signs of wear on the pushrod walls. I would somewhat agree if they were close to stock length, however mine are more than an inch shorter than stock.

There are Isky Red Zones which have a full body to accomodate a hydra rev kit if need be.

I ordered the lifters over four years ago. I believe the HIPPO market was fairly new. I read and heard the debates of Comp's QC issues and many recommended to use Iksys. I don't think they had anything but the full body lifters at that point in time.

They don't need to be flexing to the point of head contact to be costing you power.

A pushrod that short though wont be as likely to flex as an 8"+ pushrod under tons of spring pressure, so diameter wont be as critical. I'd swap em anyway just as an experiment .

But they would be making excessive contact on the guideplates.

I think my heads would have to be clearanced to accommodate 3/8" PR's, and because I don't see excessive wear on the PR walls, I don't think they are flexing. In your opinion, what kind of spring pressures need a 3/8" PR?

The general consensus is to run as big of a PR as you can fit, since even if it doesn't help in your case it wont hurt anything. Also, you can run a thinner walled thicker diameter PR and actually save weight, while being even stiffer.

PR length, RPMs, and spring pressures all play a part so there isn't a set spring pressure across the board, but I have seen 3/8th PRs recommended for even mild SR builds with modest spring pressures.

Is that because your car doesn't run or some other reason?

It runs fine. It just doesn't drive forward or backwards.
