where to cut weight?
where to cut weight? I am looking to cut weight out of my car before i go to the track on the 11th. I will be tearing the interior out but i dont want to take a/c or anything out as the car is still a daily driver. Any ideas on what else i could remove to cut weight.

Front and rear impact bars
Could cut or hole saw the fender sheet metal
Carpet padding
You leave a lot on the table with keeping the Air but I understand it hot as hell here in Fl as well.
There are other things but I don't wish to share them.

I realize that I will be leaving a ton on the table. I still have 2.73 gears and stock converter in the car with a built motor. I am just trying get a base time to start with and i realize these cars are way overweight. Has anybody made a pass with 2.73 gears? Any idea on times?

Kind of off topic but, if you remove your front and rear impact bars how does that affect an insurance claim if you are hit in the back or you hit someone else? Im guessing you would be SOL. Im thinking about stripping some weight out of my car.
