The only real limits it has is about a 7000rpm hard rev limit, beyond that there are people making it run massive injectors, and a 2-BAR map.
I have a Ford with a Electromotive system. Believe me it's a lot easier working with something designed to be easy to tweak. Holley just came out with a system too.

LONG before that was Freescan which is a bit flakey but still GREAT for the price.
Even if you pay full retail for Tunercat, Datamaster and a cable you are still in under $250 easily.
GM stuff usually has a lot more aftermarket support than Ford and WAY WAY more than Mopar, I would not look that way for ideas. Other cars have to resort to halfassed things like MAF translators and such, on one of these though that would be more expensive and less productive than tweaking the pcm to do what you want with the properly measured airflow instead of lying to the pcm about airflow the way a "translator" does.

Thats great and everything but some people are stuck with a 93 ECU and dont have flash capability or the great selection of tuning software.
Although, some argue that the 93 stuff is actually better if equipped some of the cool stuff over at moates.net but ive never worked with the free tuning software... Im worried the interface will be complicated and not very user friendly...which is usually what you get with "free."
